Potential upcoming content in Warcraft Arclight Rumble

Written by Slade

In this article we'll take a look at potential upcoming content, coming to Warcraft: Arclight Rumble. Let me preface this with nothing here is 100% confirmed. We don't have any secret information from Blizzard themselves or any insiders for that matter, so take this information with a pinch of salt.

Raids

Everyone and their mom knows raids are coming. We can see raids as Coming soon on the game map. But what exactly are they? We can't confirm anything but taking a look at the locations in which they're situated, we can have a pretty good idea.

  • Molten Core - In WoW, Molten Core was a 40-people, level 60 raid in Blackrock mountain. Within it's fiery depths you fought a myriad of bosses like Lucifron, Baron Geddon, Golemagg and finally, the big baddie Ragnaros.
  • Zul'Gurub - This time a much smaller raid, it still provided us with some of the most recognizable enemies like High Priestess Jeklik and, of course, Hakkar the Soulflayer.
It's safe to say these two will be the premiere raids for Warcraft: Arclight Rumble

2v2 and Co-Op

In the initial game announcement, Blizzard mentioned the game having a co-operative aspect to it. As well as that, we've been able to dig up a bit more information and a 2v2 mode seems to also be on the horizon. We don't exactly know how they'll work. Will you have a shared base health? Gold? Will there be different objectives? The only thing we know, is that it's coming, so stay tuned for more news!

New leaders

It should be expected that with a game focused on it's units, new content drops will include new units and leaders. But with careful speculation we might be able to place our bets on who that exactly is.

The safe bets:
Three out of the five factions are falling behind on leaders. That being the Undead, Beasts and Blackrock. So let's fill those gaps!

Blackrock:
My bets lie on two characters. Emperor Thaurissan and Nefarian seeing as these two are heavily associated with Blackrock Mountain itself and would make for fantastic leaders for the faction.

Undead:
The case of Undead is a curious one. Before the official game launch they we're called Scourge, in the game files, but Blizzard changed it for the closed beta. Why? I think it's because they want to include characters that are undead, but aren't the scourge. And who can that be? I think we all know it points to one character in particular. Sylvanas Windrunner. Not only is she an extremely crucial character to the Warcraft Universe, she's a fan favorite!

Beasts:
Honestly? This is a tough one. Beasts are such a broad faction it's hard to point fingers at any potential characters that might fit the roster. But looking at the current roster for the beast faction, i'm thinking someone like Old Murk-Eye or even King Krush could make an appearance and bolster their ranks.

But what about leaders that don't fit any of those factions? That leads me to our last section...

Upcoming factions

I'm one of those people that wait with extreme anticipation for a very particular faction to come into the game, alongside others, to diversify our playstyles. Like with Blizzard's other titles, we might have to wait a while before we get any completely new factions, but when we do, it will be big. There are a few names floating around of what could come in the future. My favorite one HAS to be The illidari as they'd make for a flavor bomb as well as a pretty huge shift in gameplay. Other potential guesses include factions like The burning legion that would also shake the game up, quite a bit.
